Hardware Trojan Prevention using Logic Obfuscation

초록

Technology on one hand is enormously increasing at the same time on the other hand information is being seized by unauthorized users illegally. The hardware Trojan is a kind of attack that collapses the normal operation of the circuit. This proposed paper gives a clear insight into how data can be protected by using logical obfuscation techniques. Obfuscation means to deliberately conceal the true performance of the circuit in order to protect it from unauthorized users. Securing the hardware from unauthorized users will increase the power and area. The goal is to optimize the area and power with an increase in security. The important parameters like area, power, and delay are degraded by using a modern technique called gate diffusion input (GDI). Configurable GDI grounded blurred cells insert redundant gates in the sense path of the circuit with minimal charges to secure an IC from pirating and overbuilding. The proposed fashion is disassembled and synthesized using the Cadence Virtuoso software tool.
