Rise of smart phones and mobile applications, the e-commerce industry has experienced remarkable growth in recent years. However, the increasing reliance on mobile devices for online shopping raises significant concerns about the security of e-commerce mobile applications. The research focuses on investigating security vulnerabilities in the e-commerce mobile applications of three popular platforms: Flip kart, Amazon, and Jio Mart. The study utilizes a combination of manual and automated penetration testing techniques to identify vulnerabilities such as insecure data storage, weak authentication mechanisms, and insufficient encryption. The testing results offer valuable insights into the current security landscape of e-commerce mobile applications and emphasize the necessity for improved security measures in these platforms.
