The logic obfuscation of LFSR with the crosstalk based polymorphic gate

The security attacks on LFSR circuit is able to inject malicious input data to the circuit under test by the infected BIST scheme. The logic obfuscation method of LFSR circuit is required to address this challenge. The crosstalk based polymorphic circuit can resist the reverse engineering attacks, and its structure is simpler and more regular than the traditional polymorphic circuits. However, the previous crosstalk based polymorphic gates are inconvenient to implement the LFSR circuit, due to the lack of XOR function. This work proposes a crosstalk based XOR-OR-AND polymorphic gate, and this gate is applied to the logic obfuscation of LFSR effectively. The comparisons show that the proposed method results in the obfuscated LFSRs with less area overhead than those previous logic obfuscation methods.
