Meteorological disasters are the main factors threatening the safety of modern power grid. Extreme weather that happens on cross-regional power, especially on key power equipment, may lead to vulnerable issues to local grid and even cause cascading blackouts which can endanger the stability of entire network without controlling fault risks in time. In the beginning, this paper sorts out the situation of multi-source environmental information collection, analyzes the limitations of traditional model-driven static safety analysis in risk assessment and calculation, and the main needs of auxiliary decision-making. Then, the solution goal is proposed according to operational requirements. The key steps are to establish the expected fault model under specific disaster environment, to give the risk grading and risk prevention auxiliary decision-making suggestions. Therefore, two detailed design schemes of software system with six general functional modules are proposed. Next, the correctness of the software calculation results is verified according to prototype system test on site. Finally, conclusions and further work suggestions about data quality and algorithm process improvement are given, so as to provide effective risk prevention measures and technical support for ensuring stable operation of large power grid.
