Digital forensics plays a vital role in anti-corruption investigations by enabling experts to uncover and analyze electronic evidence from various devices. This process helps trace illicit activities and supports legal proceedings. In Malaysia, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) employs digital forensics in its fight against corruption. However, implementing ISO 27037, a standard for the secure handling of digital evidence, poses several challenges. These include resource limitations, a need for technical expertise, legal complexities, and cultural factors. This document examines these challenges and suggests practical solutions such as increased funding, enhanced training, improved legal frameworks, and organizational cultural shifts. Addressing these issues is crucial for effective digital forensics, ensuring evidence integrity and bolstering public trust in anti-corruption efforts. Future research should concentrate on developing cost-effective forensic tools, advanced training programs, and strategies for public-private partnerships and organizational change. Additionally, fostering international collaborations can enhance the effectiveness of digital forensic practices. By adopting a holistic approach that includes technological, legal, and cultural dimensions, Malaysia can significantly improve its anti-corruption measures. As digital crimes evolve, so must the techniques and tools used to combat them, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation and adaptation in the field of digital forensics.
