Flexible Data Warehouse: Towards Building an Integrated Electronic Health Record Architecture

초록

The approach of a data warehouse is very wide and in usage from decades in which the detailed datasets of different types including structured and unstructured can be maintained. In the data warehouse based implementation, the records about the particular organization or different organizations are stored to be fetched for future usage and the mining of meaningful patterns and knowledge discovery. In the case of electronic health records, there is a need to integrate such technologies so that the higher availability of data will be there. Using this approach, the electronic health records can be maintained for a long time and with the motive of the knowledge discovery for upcoming usage patterns. In traditional systems, the warehouses are developed so that the data can be stored but in the scenarios are flexible data warehouses, there is need to integrate the higher degree of performances in the health based modules to have the higher degree of performance with the effectiveness in the enormous aspects. The electronic health record (EHR) is an important system of information and communication technologies to the healthcare sector. EHR implementation is expected to produce benefits for patients, professionals, organizations, and the population as a whole.
