The rapid development of information technology has always related to the data collection and processing according to business needs and requirements. This data serves as an important source of information stored in a database and to be displayed in an information system. Along with the advancement of information technology, the demand for faster and larger data processing has become a challenge faced by many industries especially in the Telecommunications field. Therefore, an efficient database system is needed to handle the increasing volume of data, using storage methods such as distributed database and columnar storage to improve data processing performance and reduce its size. The use of these storage methods needs to be empirically and comparatively evaluated. This research uses K6 testing framework on the PostgreSQL database. The result indicates that the use of PostgreSQL database with distributed database and columnar storage methods can increase query processing performance in the database by 48.2% faster for select query commands, decrease by 3.3% for insert query command and 74.6% reduction of table storage size compared to PostgreSQL without these methods. Hence, the use of these storage methods is highly suitable and recommended for implementation in industries that requires fast and large-scale data processing such as Telecommunication Industry.
