Predictive Analytics of Crime Data in Social Media: A Systematic Review, Incorporating Framework, and Future Investigation Schedule

Social media is a tool to share ideas, knowledge, and information with a wide group of people. Some people misuse the social networking site for criminal activities. The systematic literature review (SLR) focused on the predictive analysis of crime data in social media. The review is presented on the basis of knowledge of current implications and predictive analysis approaches that have been presented between 2014 and 2024. The SLR includes the analysis and evaluation of large pre-existing technologies to innovate with new information about predictive analysis. Many technologies like machine learning, link analysis, sentimental analysis, and deep learning are discussed in the crime data prediction survey. Also, the types of social media crimes, various methods of social media crime prediction, and the analysis based on tools utilized, assessment measures, and their application domain are devised. Then, the challenges identified based on the review, future scope and the general framework for crime prediction are provided for the design of novel predictive Analysis of crime data by fulfilling the challenges faced by the existing method.
