This paper delves into the Common Information Model (CIM) extensions for new energy design and discusses their application in enhancing design efficiency and quality. As the national “dual carbon” strategy advances, there is a surge in new energy design tasks, highlighting the urgent need for integrated design tools. The paper analyzes the challenges of integrating existing design tools and proposes an iterative integration model based on CIM extensions to address compatibility issues in the design process. The study further constructs the CIM extensions for new energy in detail and demonstrates their potential in the development and integration of new energy design software through case studies. The aim of this research is to facilitate the digital transformation of enterprises, optimize resource allocation, and improve the overall efficiency of new energy design through CIM extensions.
