This study focuses on determining how SCAP-1D devices with a CsPbI3 Perovskite structure perform in response to variations in electron affinity and donor concentration of TiO2 which is used as ETL layer. This study aims to determine the ideal electron affinity and donor concentration for these devices to achieve maximum efficiency for generating renewable power energy. The study found that the devices maximum efficiency can only be achieved by maximizing the electron affinity and donor concentration of TiO2 whereas the CsPbI3 is used as the absorber layer. The devices short-circuit current density (JSC) and open-circuit voltage (VOC) values were found to be significantly influenced by electron affinity. In particular, the maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of TiO2 was observed when the electron affinity was between 4.0 and 4.2 eV, while PCE decreased beyond this range. These results suggest that SCAP-1D devices with a CsPbI3 Perovskite structure need to have a high electron affinity and a high donor concentration to get the best performance, which could have big implications for making solar cells that work better.
