Simulated ETL-Free Perovskite/CIGS-GeTe Two-Terminal Tandem Cell with 39.7% Efficiency

초록

Improving the power conversion efficiency of the tandem cell without increasing the complexity of the cell is the aim of this work. The electron transport layer has been removed from the designed simulated perovskite sub-cell. This technique shows good performance when using a high doping level for the absorber layer. The designed perovskite sub-cell is then employed as a top sub-cell with Copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) and Germanium telluride (GeTe) double absorber bottom sub-cell to make a tandem cell. The designed tandem cell shows a high power conversion efficiency of 39.7 \%, 88.4 \% fill factor, 2.18 V open circuit voltage, and 20.6 \mathrm{~mA} / \mathrm{cm}^{2} short circuit current density.
