Metadata modeling and management is important to organizations as it helps in understanding the data sources, relationships in the existing system, business significance of each element of the system.User Centric meta model focuses on broad categories of users like business users, technical users and administrators of an organization who will access metadata for achieving certain goals defined as per their roles.In this paper, we explore the design principles to be followed to build an effective user centric metadata model.
