Users were unable to choose the best multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approaches for robot selection due to the availability and diversity of robots. Some MCDMs are adept at providing certain services, while others excel at providing different services. In uncertain robot selection, choosing the right robot is a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) topic that has gained significant public attention. Various MCDM techniques can be used to choose the best robot based on multiple factors. Researchers believed that the optimum methodology for choosing a robot was to use MCDM techniques. When evaluating a robot's selection, the paper provides a list of decision criteria and the sub-criteria that must be considered. The major goal of this study is to give an overview of several MCDM decision-making strategies. Furthermore, to educate researchers about recent advancements in the decision-making field, the pros and downsides of various MDCM methodologies are analyzed. A summary of MCDM methods for robot selection is provided. Various studies have conducted systematic literature reviews (SLR) in the field of robot selection, such as requirements elicitation, requirements modeling, stakeholders' analysis, robotics requirements selection, prioritizing, and so on. Few studies have focused on the technologies, research issues, and applications employed in robot selection, according to our review. Thus, to undertake this problem, this paper presents an SLR on the MCDM for the selection of robots so that research gaps can be determined for further research in the area of robot selection.
