DREP-TAP: Dynamic reputation-based threshold anonymous credential protocol

The proliferation of networked devices, driven by advancements in the Internet of Things and edge computing technologies, has introduced significant challenges related to network security. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a dynamic reputation-based threshold anonymous credential protocol, which integrates multi-dimensional scenario-adaptive threshold decision-making, dynamic reputation assessment, and efficient distributed authentication mechanisms. The protocol's ability to dynamically adjust its authentication strategy is facilitated by the incorporation of both long-term and short-term reputation assessment models. This feature ensures that the protocol can adapt to the diverse characteristics of user behavior, thereby accommodating the varied requirements of different scenarios. The protocol also enhances security and fault tolerance during the authentication process through the application of threshold value and slice aggregation technology. In the specific implementation process, the protocol can effectively balance security and resource efficiency, which makes it especially suitable for environments with high-security requirements or limited resources. Experimental results demonstrated the protocol's superiority in various metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and other performance indicators. Additionally, it exhibited remarkable resilience and anti-attack capabilities in the face of malicious attacks. Future research endeavors can further optimize the computation and communication overheads and introduce more complex reputation assessment models to enhance the real-time and abnormal behavior prediction capabilities of the system.
