초록

This manuscript investigates the design and control of an integration topology to interface multiple retired batteries with different states of health (SoH) and states of charge (SoC) into common dc link to be utilized as a point of load distribution supply. Each battery bank is dealt with as an independent source which requires a separate interface. The proposed topology utilizes boost converter configuration with a shared dc link at the output as opposed to traditional interleaved topology. The multiple boost converters are current controlled with common dc link voltage for all. The dc link is closely examined to ensure stability of the configuration. The impedance-based stability criteria known as Middlebrook criteria is utilized to assess the stability margins with the new configuration and to define proper sizing of the dc link capacitor. The application of the stability criteria is modified to adapt to the proposed system architecture. Proposed topology, control structure and simulation results are presented and verified.
