Study on Time Integration Methods of Convection-Diffusion Equations

초록

The time integration efficiency of high-order CPR (Correction Procedure using Reconstruction) simulations are studied for the convection-diffusion equation. A third-order CPR scheme is adopted for the spatial discretization, while the explicit third-order Runge-Kutta (RK) scheme and the third-order implicit-explicit RK (IMEXRK3) scheme are adopted for temporal discretization, respectively. Comparing to the simulation time and numerical error obtained between the two temporal schemes, the IMEXRK3 scheme has better efficiency and smaller numerical error.
