The microservice architecture (MSA) is currently growing in popularity. This paper represents the authors’ approach to the designing applications of this architecture called Metamodel-Driven Design (MMDD) and considers the this approach in detail, the key stages are described and successful testing is demonstrated. Despite the presence of many stages, only one stage of meta-model design is mandatory, which was implemented in the SharpArchitect RAD Studio development environment. The paper shows a diagram of meta-model design in the notation of the UML profile of SAUP, created during the implementation of a test microservice. The described approach made it possible to significantly reduce the time for the development and a test microservice.
