Blockchain-driven decentralized data and access control services for smart grid

초록

The fast integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is transforming the conventional electrical grid into a Smart Grid. The current smart grid system is a centralised system with easy data modification, privacy concerns, and inadequate data management and easy information transmission. These problems can be resolved by blockchain technology. Blockchain has the ability to completely transform the smart grid system by decentralising the data processing and storage. Our blockchain-based access control architecture removes the need for reliable middlemen by enabling authorised parties to access data on their own. This strategy is especially helpful in situations where real-time data sharing could be hampered by third-party dependencies. To guarantee the efficacy and dependability of our design, we have put it through extensive testing and validation. The performance analysis section, the proposed protocol has less computation cost compared to existing schemes. In terms of effectiveness and security, the comparative analysis and performance analysis are also carried out, demonstrating that it is a dependable authenticated access control architecture for smart grid.
