This paper addresses the current issues of complexity and low resource utilisation in the deployment of software-defined networking (SDN) experimental environments. It explores the potential application of Docker container technology in packaging and deploying these environments. By leveraging the lightweight, portable and isolated features of Docker, we propose a Docker-centric packaging and deployment framework for SDN experimental environments.
