Permanent magnet synchronous motor has been highly concerned in the era of high voltage circuit breaker drive control, in extra to enhancing the torque inactivity proportion of the engine itself, control hypothesis and request technology has been a heated mark in the meadow of change and development. In the past 20 years, the theories of constant voltage frequency ratio, vector control, direct torque control and weak magnetic field control have appeared one after another, and have made gratifying achievements in engineering applications. In this paper, the fundamental control algorithms of lasting magnet synchronous engine for high voltage course breaker and the delegate papers of control algorithms are reviewed, and the development progress is summarized. The challenges and future research directions of high voltage circuit breaker control algorithms are discussed, as well as the application of modern control theory in the control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor are discussed.
