Optimal Siting and Sizing of Dispersed Generation in Electrical Distribution Network with PSO

초록

Due to changes in the lifestyle of consumers demand, the load is increasing day by day. Because of this, we are facing power loss power quality issues and poor voltage profile at consumers or load side. To address this issue many methods are used to solve them those as FACTS devices, Shunt capacitors placements, Network reconfiguration, Smart substations, DTC placement, Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR), and fast operating power electronics components, etc. So we are addressing this issue by optimal allocation and sizing of DG in electrical distribution arrangements. In this paper, the forward & backward sweep method with PSO is employed to identify the most suitable location to enhance the overall network efficiency without violating the security constraints.
