초록

A model for competency development is presented, uses concepts from problem-based learning as a learning strategy and rubric analytical descriptors associated with the problem as assessment criteria. The proposal is framed within constructive alignment, emphasizing the coherence between learning outcomes, their development, and evaluation and is grounded in the theory of cognitive load, which posits that the mental load imposed on students during a learning task influences their ability to acquire and transfer knowledge. The process links each rubric analytical descriptor in a didactic sequence with low complexity learning activities, whose solution demonstrates the established evaluative criteria. This strategy allows students to focus, initially, on specific aspects, and then integrating them into a learning activity that utilizes the associated rubric as an assessment criterion. Finally, the model was implemented and evaluated in systems engineering degree courses. This involved its real-world application in an educational context, as well as data collection and assessment of its effectiveness and relevance in competency development.
