Many organisations are seeking assistance from IT-related tools, mainly software, to improve the effectiveness of their business processes. As a result, the quality and timely delivery of software products have become a major concern. Hence organisations are implementing DevOps practices. But due to various challenges associated with practicing DevOps, maintaining the quality of the software delivery service has become a challenge. Chaos engineering is a practice that assists in reducing chaos. The feasibility of using chaos engineering practices will be researched to address the challenges faced by the DevOps implementing organisation and determine the stages where the identified practices can be applied to increase the software delivery performance. This research study will mainly cover three areas. DevOps practices in software organisations, Software delivery performance, and the application of chaos engineering.
