A Method Based on Recognition of Emotional Expressions, Behavior, and Objects for Security Monitoring in Educational Environments

초록

We present MSM-EDU (Method for Security Monitoring in Educational Environments), a hybrid method developed to identify atypical or potentially dangerous behaviors in school environments. MSM-EDU combines the recognition of emotional expressions, suspicious behaviors, and potentially threatening objects. A simulation was carried out to validate the method and generate numerical indices to classify the probability of intervention in students with the highest potential security risk. The simulation results contributed to improving the proposal and to providing effective support for educators and security professionals in proactively managing risk situations.
