The resilience of critical power infrastructures within National Power Grid in order to prevent a black-out and ensure energy security

“Black-out” is a total lack of power for all consumers (domestic, industrial and critical) and can cause multiple damage to industry and national economy. Because power infrastructure by power sub/stations and overhead power lines ensures access to electricity for consumers, it is critical that all sectors of the industrial economy are dependent on electricity and European Union must ensure their protection for resilience. If protection measures are not carried out, critical power infrastructure may become vulnerable. The authors consider that the analysis and quantification of a black-out, the identification of critical power infrastructures, the conceptualization of critical infrastructures and resilience are elements of novelty brought to the work.
