Explainable AI (XAI) and Machine Learning Based Alert System for Lung Cancer Detection in Healthcare 4.0

초록

In the world more then 10% people are suffering from lung cancer, due to this there is a need for frameworks that can detects the lung cancer at preliminary stage. However, most of the machine learning models are act like a black-box, and their results are not easily understandable by the normal person and they also not provide any type of alert system. In this context, we proposed an early detection framework for lung cancer using machine learning and explainable AI, that will alert the patient at early stage. As lung cancer prediction is a binary classification problem, we used support vector machine (SVM) in our proposed framework for the detection of lung cancer. Our proposed framework achieves an accuracy of 95.39% in the detection of lung cancer. We also compared the proposed approach result with other traditional machine learning techniques.
