A Cone and Ground Plane Device for Calibrating Electromagnetic Pulse Field Sensors and Probes

초록

In order to calibrate the performance of the transient electromagnetic pulse field sensors and probes, this paper developed a cone and ground plane device with a generatrix length of 1 m and a half cone angle of 47°. Based on theoretical analysis, we performed numerical simulation of a cone and ground plane and established a physical device. We utilized a Gaussian pulse with a pulse width of 1.7 ns to excite the cone and ground plane device, tes ted it using a typical D-dot probe to validate the waveform fidelity of the cone and ground plane and provide the probe's amplitude conversion coefficient. Additionally, we also provided the recommended testing area for the cone and ground plane setup.
