Overview of Mobile Security Detection Technologies in Internet Traffic

The proliferation of 3G/4G/5G technologies and the ubiquity of mobile devices have catalyzed unprecedented growth in mobile Internet applications, establishing them as the most rapidly evolving sector of the Internet ecosystem. While the convergence of mobile communication and Internet technologies has revolutionized user experiences, it has concurrently introduced novel security challenges. Of particular concern is the surge in malicious traffic on mobile terminals, often propagated through illicit plugins and Trojan viruses, leading to unwarranted increases in mobile data consumption and consequent financial losses for users. This paper presents a comprehensive examination of mobile Internet security detection technologies for network traffic. Building upon established frameworks of traditional network traffic security detection, this paper systematically analyses this domain from three critical perspectives: network traffic measurement and identification techniques, network traffic characteristic-based security detection methodologies, and network traffic content-oriented security detection approaches. Furthermore, this study elucidates the current challenges and limitations in research pertaining to network traffic mobile Internet security detection technologies. A comparative analysis of relevant techniques is provided to offer a holistic view of the state-of-the-art in this field. The paper concludes by summarizing key findings and delineating potential future research directions in the realm of network traffic security for mobile Internet applications. This work aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse on enhancing mobile Internet security and fostering the development of more robust detection mechanisms to safeguard user interests in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.
