The situation of climate change has resulted in the temperature of the world increasing. It has many effects on the weather, especially violent storms that cause flooding in many areas. It was found that the area that experienced the most flooding was Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, which has a flat plain topography and a parallel-shape river basin. The floods inundated agricultural areas and spread into residential and commercial areas. It damages people’s homes and property. This research therefore focuses on studying factors related to flooding and assessing the vulnerability of flood areas using the artificial neural network method, which is a mathematical model that can classify factors through the network’s learning process for effective evaluation. The objective of this study is to study spatial factors related to flooding and to assess vulnerability to flooding, It was found that various studies, both domestic and international studies, classified flood-related factors into three groups: (1) exposure factors, (2) susceptibility factors, and (3) resilience factors. This study obtained information on related factors and used them to analyze vulnerability to flooding using artificial neural networks in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It was found that most areas in the province have a high level of vulnerability to flooding, 36.45% of province’s area or 928.60 km2. In this area, flooding has occurred, causing damage to life, property, and homes, as well as affecting people’s occupations. In addition, it was found that people in this area have a low average income, which means that when floods occur, people in the area are less able to cope with flooding than other areas. In addition, the western part of the province is mostly agricultural land that serves as a water storage area, but the irrigation system in the area is not designed to handle flooding. This makes drainage in the area not as efficient as it should be.
