Security of Military Transmision in Public Mobile Radio Communication Systems

초록
The technological changes occurring in 21st-century conflict theatres due to the use of drones and artificial intelligence have placed significant demands on the provision of continuous, secure and covert communications across the various battlefields. This article outlines potential opportunities to also leverage the civilian communications environment to provide non-survivable connectivity for the purpose of conducting military operations. By analysing the potential threats and pillars for the secure use of 5G mobile communications, it is possible to identify a series of possible solutions for incorporating this type of communication into the operational procedures of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic.
