초록

The Secure folder encryption using homomorphic encryption with Microsoft SEAL has the design and implementation of a secure folder encryption system based on Homomorphic Encryption (HE) namely the CKKS scheme. The system uses the Microsoft SEAL library to facilitate the computation on encrypted data without the need to decrypt it, thus ensuring end to end confidentiality. This is contrary to the conventional encryption methods that reveal data during computation as proposed in this paper, the system proposes a secure computation on encrypted data to address the critical security issues in the domains such as cloud computing, finance and healthcare. The implementation is made on top of efficient encryption and decryption of folder contents while maintaining data privacy, integrity and computational efficiency. Real world usability and effectiveness of the system is shown through performance evaluation across key metrics of encryption speed, decryption accuracy and resource utilization. This work also shows the trade-off between the security and the computational cost and therefore presents a viable solution for secure data processing in sensitive environments.
