Analysis of the Relationship Between Scientific Interest and Publication Dynamics on Artificial Intelligence in the Russian Federation (2020–2024)

A quantitative analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between public interest in artificial intelligence and the dynamics of publication activity in Russia during the period from 2020 to 2024. This study is based on a comparison of Yandex Wordstat search data and publication statistics from eLibrary, employing correlation and regression modeling and cluster analysis to identify disciplinary groups. A high degree of synchrony between the time series of publication activity and search queries was recorded, confirming the sensitivity of the scientific domain to external informational stimuli and reflecting the strengthening of interdisciplinary connections. The results suggest that the dynamics of scientific activity may form an indicator of societal challenges and provide a basis for forecasting the direction of scientific development.
