초록

The cybersecurity job is booming in many regions of the country. According to the Department of Labor Bureau of Lab Statistics, employment of information security analysts is projected to grow 32% from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations. In response to the high demand of cybersecurity professionals, many higher education institutions are adding Cybersecurity programs and/or courses. In this paper, a case study is presented based on the lessons learned and experiences gained from the design of virtual labs for an ethical hacking course. The findings and recommendations summarized in this paper could be adopted in a similar setting by other institutions, especially those with limited resources.
