학회: International Conference on Network Simulation and Evaluation
With the rapid evolution of networks and the continual advancement of information technology, the power industry is progressively reliant on network infrastructures. However, this amplified dependence on networks gives rise to novel cybersecurity challenges. Notably, network attacks present a significant threat to the secure operations of such enterprises, leading to economic setbacks for businesses and potential risks to human lives. This paper aims to delve into the current landscape of network security within power industry substations, both at domestic and international levels, while also exploring pertinent research in this domain. It encompasses an in-depth analysis of the feasibility surrounding the utilization of network emulation platforms for simulating substations, and undertakes a comprehensive review of the challenges that necessitate resolution during the implementation phase of such emulation platforms. Drawing from the preceding analysis, we propose a crowd-sourced testing methodology designed specifically for substation emulation systems leveraging network emulation platforms. By conducting rigorous verification tests, our proposed approach showcases significant potential in its application for comprehensive network security evaluations in critical substations. This initiative ultimately aims to fortify the security of substation networks, thereby safeguarding critical infrastructure and minimizing potential vulnerabilities.
