The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the evolution of cyber threats

The article deals with the development of cyber threats in the period just before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, i.e. from the turn of 2019/2020, 2021 and 2022. The focus is mainly on attacks on hospitals in the Czech Republic and briefly mentions large-scale cyber attacks on hospitals in France and Spain. Attention is also given to cyber attacks in the education sector over the period. The article also discusses cyber attacks in Ukraine in the run-up to the conflict with Russia. Attention is paid to the most common cyber attacks from that period, discusses the causes of cyber attacks, and summarizes research on phishing attacks.
