Advanced Industrial Espionage: Mobile Device as Anti-Forensic and Anonymization Tool

This study explores the potential of resolving the issue of the industrial espionage with a commercial mobile device. In case of detection, forensic analysis and reverse techniques in the mobile device can be used to find out what videos, audio tracks and photos were made and sent. The work proposes a possible model in which the configurations of digital devices, the programmed application, and the behavior of entities in which each has a role are described. The result is a model designed and implemented by the author, which ensures safe and anonymous transmission of the created multimedia records sent to the decision-making entity. At the same time, the model makes it impossible to find evidence using forensic analysis and reverse engineering on the client and server side. It also considers and implements zero trust principles between entities in the proposed solution, thereby supporting personal security. The proposed model was demonstrated on creating and sending videos. It was proven by forensic evidence that the proposed model meets the established criteria.
