In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape organizations must not only excel in their core domains but also pioneer innovative security solutions. As data volumes grow exponentially, the need for robust security and efficient auditing becomes paramount. This paper introduces ShieldSentry, a next-generation Linux auditing tool that integrates Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) to enhance security, automate compliance reporting, and improve threat detection. By streamlining audit processes and reducing manual effort, ShieldSentry offers a novel approach to real-time anomaly detection and incident response. Our research outlines a methodology for integrating Gen AI with Linux auditing frameworks, demonstrating its effectiveness in enhancing system security, regulatory compliance, and forensic investigations. This work underscores the potential of AI-driven auditing to revolutionize cybersecurity practices, making audits more efficient, insightful, and proactive.
