Traditional SNMP adopts a centralized management mode and a fixed-function agent. It is not intelligent and easy to expand and upgrade, and it cannot respond to changes in time. The network information model cannot adapt to the development of the network–this paper designs a hierarchical network information management framework based on multi-agent cooperation. The framework includes four layers: network information management station layer, multi-mobile agent cooperation layer, SNMP Agent cooperation layer, and network element layer. A multi-agent middle layer strategy and multi-mobile agent cooperation strategy are established in the second layer. In this paper, the SNMP Agent is used as the resident agent, and the parallel cooperation of multiple mobile agents is used to collect the network management data intelligently. This paper implements a master/sub-agent cooperation mechanism based on SNMP protocol in the third layer. The mechanism divides SNMP Agents into main agents and sub-agent from the task, and SNMP is used for cooperation between the main and sub-agents. This paper finds that the network fault management system based on a mobile agent can implement more efficient, real-time, and accurate network management, especially in the management of complex networks.
