The paper discusses the challenges associated with enhancing the effectiveness of managing Russia's national security in the context of information. The fundamental levels of security provision are identified and an examination of the primary areas of advancement in scenario analysis and modeling technique as a tool for decision support is conducted. The outcomes of the advancement of instruments for the automation of scenario analysis are summarized.
