Active Directory Open XDR Cyber Security Techniques to Detect Anomalies

According to the ever evolving picture of cybersecurity, Active Directory (AD) and open XDR systems integrated are a viable way around detecting and resolving anomalies in far more complex enterprises. Threat actors who target Active Directory are after unauthorized access to identity and access management, as Active Directory is a key cornerstone. However, where XDR comes into play is when it allows for unbiased and unified platform on which various telemetry data from endpoints, networks, or cloud environments are correlated to solve visibility problems and bring automated response. This paper details how to use AD and Open XDR to detect anomalies like credential abuse, lateral movement, privilege escalation and persistence related behaviour. The proposed framework improves early detection capabilities and reduces response latency by relying on advanced analytics, machine learning algorithms, behavioral baselining with contextual threat intelligence. With this integration, organisations can have a proactive cybersecurity posture whilst keeping critical asset safe from sophisticated threat, and have compliance and operational efficiency at same time.
