In order to improve the working efficiency of tower crane workers and reduce the probability of on-site accidents, the team established a set of intelligent tower crane network operating system based on 5G technology. The system uses MATLAB software to build a network platform including visual perception system, 5G communication transmission system and intelligent operating system. The intelligent tower crane network control system obtains image data through the visual perception system, exchanges monitoring data and operation instructions through the 5G communication transmission system, and finally realizes the intelligent and automatic operation of the tower crane through the intelligent operating system. The duplex communication technology, multi-carrier technology and cloud computing technology of the 5G communication system enable the staff to realize the real-time monitoring of various perspectives of the tower crane and the timely transmission of signals through the 5G network, so as to achieve the effect of remote real-time operation of the tower crane on the ground. The smart tower crane network control system has been successfully applied to the actual production, and in the construction process, the cost of largescale wiring and construction and installation personnel has been saved, and rapid construction has also been realized, which greatly shortens the project construction period and saves project time and labor costs.
