Cloud computing has become a popular paradigm for computing and IT services. The relentless expansion of cloud computing has transformed the way we access and utilize data and applications. The cloud holds an ever-increasing share of our critical information and processes, from personal email to large-scale enterprise operations. However, this reliance introduces a fundamental challenge, namely trust i.e., which service the consumer needs to trust or not before selecting for their use case. Cloud services heavily depend on online reviews to attract new customers and retain existing ones. However, adversaries may exploit this system by manipulating trust through false reviews, fabricated testimonials, and biased opinions. Trust cannot be based solely on review ratings, as these systems are vulnerable to compromise by intruders or hackers. Consumer ratings can be misused in several ways, either by inflating or deflating reviews. As a result, consumers have no choice but to trust reviews provided by previous users, even though those reviews are at a higher risk of being tampered with. This research proposes a robust and secure trust and reputation management framework designed to help consumers select the most appropriate cloud service. The framework ensures a highly reliable and honest review system, enabling users to make informed decisions when finalizing their choice of cloud service. The proposed model employs multiple methodologies to assess trust in a cloud service, thereby enhancing the reliability and trustworthiness of the framework.
