Design of an Integrated System for the Measurement and Monitoring of Electrical Parameters Under ISO 50001: A Case Study

초록

Using energy management system tools in universities opens the possibility of efficiently managing electrical consumption through a real-time electrical parameter monitoring system to develop the analysis of consumption patterns, subsequently applying methods concerning energetic efficiency. The study's objective was to implement an integrated connection system of the S7–1200 PLC and Raspberry Pi with SENTRON PAC-3200 energy meters for real-time monitoring of electrical parameters. The Modbus TCP/IP protocol collects the data, and the S7 communication selects the parameters to upload to the cloud through Node-Red programming. Finally, a web application was designed and developed to visualize the electrical parameters of the energy meters installed at the University in real-time, which are under the ISO 50001 standard.
