In recent years, the development of 5G technology has brought about significant transformations and improvements in production and various other domains, particularly in its applications within vertical industries, resulting in substantial savings in manpower and resources. Among these industries, ports playa pivotal role as critical national infrastructure in international trade. With the rapid expansion of ports, 5G technology has been instrumental in supporting their development, enabling the transition towards digitalization, automation, and the establishment of intelligent smart ports, which represent the future direction of port development. Investigating the coverage of 5G signals not only serves as a reference for the deployment of 5G networks in ports but also facilitates more efficient and stable network connections, thereby assisting in the production and operations of ports. This article primarily examines the propagation mechanisms of 5G signals, combined with installing 5G antennas in port scenarios, to analyze the coverage of 5G signals within ports.
