The term “Internet of Things” (IoT) refers to both real objects and browser objects as well as the full infrastructure of links through which they connect. Through the use of existing network infrastructure, the IoT makes it possible to sense and operate these entities remotely, opening up possibilities for a closer connection between the real world and machine systems. The Internet of Things (IoT) could one day just became a comparatively straightforward to 5G (fifth generation) technology. It is possible to help that this next generation of the intelligent network by establishing a platform that incorporate, in addition to the communications network, IoT support, to provide a heterogeneous distributed system, thanks to the upcoming Internet of Things (IoT), a component of pillars of the 5G network. This paper discusses a futuristic upcoming network architecture powered by IoT and 5G while providing a thorough assessment of next demand response, This technology is supposed to address the issue of the massive increase in daily gadgets in every presence of modern life. IoT which is made up of a plethora of devices, technologies enablers over 5G-IoT era used by 5G to its quick data transfer capabilities. Bibliometric technique is used to analyze the research article on IoT-5G to investigate potential for this technology. Also, paper proffers some of the issues and challenges related to this innovative 5G-IoT trend.
