Spatial planning is a dynamic process, continuously evolving throughout the years. As complexity increase and basic needs change, this requires new perspectives in planning considering diverse roles, disciplines, and methods to address spatial, environmental, and societal challenges. Hence, integrated approaches should be at the forefront, building new initiatives that bring all these actors together. This calls for the establishment of wide Network fostering systemic transnational collaboration, under a multi-stakeholder scheme, that considers planning-related HED institutions and relevant practice, policy, research actors, and the planning community in general. Moreover, this network should cultivate an inclusive and active participatory approach in all actions of the network and especially in the knowledge exchange/co-creation/sharing process. Bearing upon this critical gap, this study will lay the Charter of this Transnational Network developed via a detailed scoping literature review on related endeavours. Thereupon, the organisational model (depicted in the charter) describes the scope, governance, principles, values and activities of the network, as well as the means and processes for systemic knowledge exchange, sharing, and co-creation among its members. This model also explains the procedures for joining the network and how this differs for individuals and organisations. Establishing a Network for Integrated Planning is a challenging endeavour; however, it is essential for novel planning actions. There is an imperative need for truly realising integrated actions in planning practice and engaging different actors (academia, policymakers, practitioners and citizens). Subsequently, this study comprises an initial step for embracing integrated planning in various scales and dimensions.
