Protocol for Multipath Routing of Traffic in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks Based on the Status of Channels and Network Nodes

The article deals with the protocol of multipath traffic routing in wireless decentralized self-organizing communication networks. The proposed protocol is based on a comprehensive analysis of the efficiency indicators of the channels and communication nodes included in the route. The protocol is based on a reactive traffic routing algorithm, in which the found communication subroutes are evaluated using a special fitness function. The algorithm involves the formation of the main communication route and several alternative ones. Based on the route quality metrics, network traffic is balanced across multiple paths found. In the course of an experimental study of the proposed protocol, it was possible to significantly increase the reliability of data delivery between two given subscribers compared to the standard protocol.
