Research on Caching-Computing-Communication Resource Allocation in Caching-Assisted Edge Computing Network

초록

Caching-assisted edge computing has been regarded as a promising technique to avoid duplicate data transmission and provide closer data access and computing by pre-storing popular data and offloading computing task to edge. In this paper, by organizing relationship between edge computing and caching, the advantages of caching-assisted edge computing network are analyzed. Based on content caching-computing model and service caching-computing model, the related works of caching-computing-communication resource allocation are innovatively classified and compared by caching data type, caching data source location and computing mode. A service caching-computing model is summarized to clarify the task execution and caching placement process in service caching-assisted edge network. Related typical practical application cases present great prospects of service caching-assisted edge network.
