초록

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks are increasingly being used for their distributed nature and quick set-up times in scenarios like military operations, disaster-rescue, emergency services and distributed computing. The routing protocol is a key factor which affects the performance of these networks. Since ad-hoc networks by definition are infrastructure-less, the participating nodes need to act as routing agents to allow communication. The work described below is an attempt to develop a simple and light-weight routing protocol named as Time-Triggered Distance Vector routing (TTDV) for small to medium-sized networks. The performance of this protocol is analyzed using Network Simulator-3 (ns-3), an open source discrete-event network simu-lator.
