As the terminal of mobile communication systems, antennas have the function of transmitting and receiving data, and are an important part of modern mobile communication systems. With the explosive growth of mobile communication users and the limitations of space resources, future wireless communication systems not only need to provide better communication services and quality, but also need to have the characteristics of small size in space limited environments. With the increase of carrier frequency, signals are continuously reflected, refracted, and scattered by objects in the natural environment during transmission, resulting in increasing propagation losses. Moreover, due to the increasing number of individual mobile users and the dense deployment of antennas, the correlation between transmission channels and interference between users are becoming increasingly severe. Based on this, this article designs a compact high isolation dual frequency multiple input multiple output (MIMO) microstrip antenna suitable for 5G wireless communication. The antenna adopts a microstrip form to reduce interference in wireless transmission systems and improve system transmission capacity. The simulation results show that the overall radiation characteristics of the antenna are good, and the operating bandwidth, isolation, gain and other parameters of the antenna meet the design requirements. The structure is simple and easy to make, and can be applied to WLAN wireless communication systems.
